Bethany Glass, a seasoned relationship builder, brings over 13 years of frontline fundraising expertise to AWBI. With a robust background spanning higher education, public interest nonprofits, and the public sector, she views her role at AWBI as a seamless continuation of her dedicated commitment to advancing fundraising through an equitable lens. Bethany possesses a deep-seated passion for uplifting communities of color and amplifying overlooked donor identities.

A versatile philanthropy expert, Bethany boasts proficiency in various realms, including donor and client relations, stewardship, grant writing, program management, annual giving, and major and principal gifts in both individual and institutional giving.

In her most recent position as Lead Major and Principal Gifts Fundraiser for the state of Georgia, along with managing the "Next 30," a board of young philanthropists at the Southern Environmental Law Center, Bethany achieved remarkable success. She played a pivotal role in securing SELC's first seven-figure recurring individual donors for Georgia and orchestrated a strategic overhaul of the Next30 to enhance overall giving. Additionally, Bethany chaired the training subcommittee of the DEI committee, contributing to the implementation of an organization-wide training focused on fostering greater inclusivity in internal relations and external partnerships.

Bethany holds a B.A. in Political Science and Medicine, Health, and Society from Vanderbilt University, where she has served in various leadership roles since graduation. With a certificate in the Disciplines of Frontline Fundraising from Plus Delta Partners, she also served on the senior advisory team for the company's recently launched diversity in fundraising recruitment and advancement programs. She is gearing up to sit for her Certified Fund Raising Executive certification this summer.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Bethany revels in attending live performances, including live music, theater, and improv. An enthusiastic cook, she treasures quality time spent with her husband and beloved staffy, Stella.
