Marjorie King

Program Manager

Marjorie King will serve as AWBI’s Program Manager, Growth & Scale. Marjorie excels in building corporate partnerships, designing strategy, and program management. Her current pursuit of a Master’s in Management allows her an advanced understanding of strategy, communications, leadership, and financial best practices. She believes in using data to inform programs.

Marjorie has extensive experience delivering philanthropic and business ROI to business and community partners. She joins AWBI from TechStars, one of the world's top business accelerators and Zane Venture Fund, a budding and vital 25 million fund focused on investing in diverse and underrepresented technology founders in the Southeast. At SoGal she won a grant from Walmart.org's Center for Racial Equity to launch a new national training program to help Black entrepreneurs connect to capital as a part of the Black Founder Startup Grant initiative. The partnerships she has acquired have empowered over 100 Black female and nonbinary early stage business owners.

Her career in business consulting began at Accenture, working at some of the largest Fortune 500s, including Coca-Cola and Cox Communications. She is passionate about missions that focus on creating equity for people of color. She thrives in being part of building an organization and is excited to join AWBI.
