AWBI Executive Director Latresa McLawhorn Ryan participated in the Federal Reserve’s 2/25/21 Inclusive and Resilient Recovery panel with Mels de Zeeuw, Community and Economic Development Senior Research Analyst, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta; Ines Hernandez, Senior Vice President of Citi Community Relations, Citigroup Inc; Mary Hirt, Community and Economic Development Engagement Analyst II, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta; Joyce Klein, Director of the Business Ownership Initiative, Aspen Institute; and Janelle Williams, Community and Economic Development Senior Adviser, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

Federal Reserve Bank staff provided an overview of national and Sixth District results of the Small Business Credit Survey: 2021 Report on Employer Firms, including an overview of the state of small business, as well as a look at the effects of COVID-19 and emergency funding. Panelists shared lessons learned from prior recessions that can help facilitate resilient businesses for a more inclusive recovery and provided national and regional perspectives on strategies bolstering recovery and long-term resilience of small businesses.
